I recently had the pleasure of photographing Hayley + Ron’s intimate ceremony in Downtown Annapolis and got to witness their unity as husband and wife alongside some of their close family members. I met these two a while back when they were guests at a wedding I was photographing, so I did not hesitate to say YES when I saw Hayley’s email come through about documenting this special day for them.

Here’s their written story from her:

“I don’t know if I’ve ever written about us, but I’ll try. I met him through my best friend and her cousins, who made a weekly ritual of “nerd night”, where they would watch comic book & fantasy tv series. It took around 3 years (& me not dating someone) for us to finally start seeing each other outside of the friend group. We consider our anniversary to be Halloween, which might not have been our first date, but it was a night in fells that ended with us trapped in a parking garage for 3 hours (they closed the exit for traffic?) so we really got to know each other with no distraction in his Buick. About 6 months later, I was in a major car accident, med-evac’ed, & spent 20 days in the hospital. Ron helped me through the tough years of rehab & waiting for legal proceedings before we could get to the next chapter in our story. And now after 8 years together we are now starting yet another chapter by moving to the other side of the world to Canberra, Australia, and he gives me the confidence that we can make the most of this adventure.”
