Some engagement sessions are full of beautiful moments, and some are just downright FUN. Katie + Jon’s session was definitely the latter. 

We spent our time at Chapman State Park chatting about their upcoming wedding, reminiscing on their love story, and, of course, loving on their sweet pup, Squirrel.

There was plenty of frolicking through the park, dancing, dipping, cuddling, and even a little time spent laying around and finding shapes in the clouds. Basically, we just got to enjoy being together and celebrate this really sweet season of their lives.

And Squirrel? He absolutely had his moments in the spotlight, too. I loved watching these two love on their little fur ball and seeing how naturally he fit into their engagement photos.

What I love most about engagement sessions is getting to slow down and really get to know my couples before their wedding day. We talked about their plans for their day in October, laughed about their story, and captured the kind of moments that feel like them.

Katie + Jon, I had SO much fun with you three, and I already cannot wait to celebrate with you in October! Your wedding day is going to be here before we know it, and I am so excited to be there for it all.
