I recently had the joy of photographing baby Scottie’s in-home newborn session for the Hammett family in Southern Maryland. As a Maryland newborn photographer, I love capturing those quiet, authentic moments that happen naturally in the comfort of a family’s home. Getting to document this season for them feels extra special.
I’ve had the honor of photographing so many meaningful chapters throughout their story, from their engagement session, to their wedding day, and now welcoming their beautiful baby girl into the world. They are now a part of my Family Legacy Series, which makes getting to continue documenting their growing family even more meaningful.
There is something so special about stepping into a family’s home during those first few weeks with a new baby. Everything feels a little slower, a little sleepier, and full of those tiny moments you wish you could bottle up and keep forever.
Scottie was such a sweet little addition to their family, and it was so beautiful getting to see her with her momma and daddy. She is already so incredibly loved, and I have no doubt she is going to grow up surrounded by so much joy, love, and adventure.
Scottie, you have the BEST momma and daddy, and I already cannot wait to watch you grow. Getting to document each exciting milestone along the way is something I feel incredibly grateful for.
The Hammetts, thank you for continuing to invite me into these beautiful seasons of your lives. From the beginning of your story together to now watching you become parents, it is such an honor to be the one behind the camera preserving these memories for you.
I truly love what I do, but getting to walk alongside families as they grow is one of the greatest gifts of this work. I cannot wait to see where this next chapter takes you all.
