Emily + Haymond have done it again. They’ve created the most beautiful little baby, and oh my goodness, is she sweet!

Sweet Genevieve was welcomed into the world just two weeks ago, and I think we were all pretty eager to finally find out whether Emily + Haymond were welcoming a little boy or girl. They made the decision to wait until birth to find out, which I think is such a fun way to experience one of life’s biggest surprises!

But there was one person who was pretty convinced he knew exactly what was coming. Big brother Benji was determined that he wanted a baby sister, and now that she’s finally here, I think it’s safe to say he is pretty smitten with her. Watching him love on his new baby sister was one of my favorite parts of their session.

He even took over for me for a little bit and snapped a photo of his own. So…it looks like I may have a new up-and-coming assistant on my hands! LOL

And then there were those sweet little sleepy newborn smiles. Genevieve gave us a few of them during our time together, and they absolutely melted my heart. There is just something about those tiny little newborn moments that makes you want to freeze time.

Getting to document this family again as they grow is such an honor. I’ve loved watching their story unfold, and now getting to preserve this brand-new chapter with their family of four feels extra special.

And I’ll admit, photographing this sweet girl had me even more excited to welcome our own little babe soon.
