I remember the day I got to meet up with Melissa + Mel in our local Panera Bread to chat all about their love and vision for their day, just after their first initial email inquiry with me. Their love story is quite adorable. Melissa described it as meeting the man of her dreams on May 12, 2019. Melissa’s daughter Marley is actually the one who connected them! Funny enough, one of the first conversations these two ever had was all about how Melissa decided she would never get married again. Then the stars aligned perfectly and they fell madly in love. Nearly 3 months later the topic of marriage came up once more and Melissa’s thoughts were a little different now that she found her soulmate. It’s amazing how life has a way of changing, and come December, when Mel proposed, these two began planning their most magical day!

It feels like just yesterday when we met at that Panera, but also like a lifetime ago! COVID caught us all in a difficult position, including Melissa + Mels original wedding plans on 3/28/2020. As you can imagine, that did not go as planned. Although these two didn’t allow their venue rescheduling to the following year to stop them from their dreams coming true, these two were happily married on May 25, 2020 in front of their closest friends and family in Myrtle Beach. So magical! They decided to save their big celebration for 3/28/2021 so they could celebrate with more folks back home and so they did! They even had their ceremony begin at 3:28 p.m.!

Although the day was likely one of the windiest wedding days I’ve ever photographed, it will make for some fun memories later and some seriously gorgeous windswept images for their portraits! Just wait and see for yourself!

So cheers to the very lovely Mr. + Mrs. Adams! I wish you two endless years of love and laughter!
