Last week I got to spend some time with the Lytle Family for an in-home newborn session with their precious baby girl. After three years of trying to get pregnant, Siobhan + Jack finally welcomed their sweet little love, Cora Jean back in August – they call her their miracle baby which I think is the sweetest thing.

In between outfit changes I got to know more about Jack + Siobhan’s story on their struggles with fertility. I connected with their story so much, as Michael and I have had difficulty trying to get pregnant over the years and spent a long time going through countless doctor’s appointments, hormone shots and medications, painful procedures and tests, all to be let down with no positive results. It’s definitely not an easy process for some families, more women go through this than we really realize. I feel like I’m in a good place right now with our infertility journey as we take a little break to focus on our marriage. I felt so connected to Siobhan when hearing about their journey, seeing the way Siobhan looks at her precious miracle baby gave my heart so much peace.

Just before Jack + Siobhan were going to be starting their IVF treatments with Shady Grove after trying for three years they finally conceived their baby girl, Cora Jean! How amazing is that?!

During their maternity session I found out what they would be naming their new baby girl and I just fell in love with how unique it was. Cora’s name comes from Siobhan’s grandmother and it fits her so beautifully. Baby Cora looks JUST like her daddy, but you can definitely tell she has a lot of her momma’s features, too. I am so excited to be sharing some of my favorites from this session with you guys – all filled with pink, mermaids and lots of love!
